About our Toys
What materials are the toys made from?
We source all our materials locally. The wood we use is Canadian Maple Hardwood. Animals that have ear and/or tail attachments are made from 100% cotton.
What type of colours are used?
We use coloured stains that have been safety tested and are in accordance with European (EN 71), United States (ASTM F963), and Canadian (SOR) standards. These wax and oil based stains are safe to use on children's toys.

What type of finish is used?
The clear coating we use on all our toys has been safety tested and is compliant with the European (EN71), United States (ASTM 963), and Canadian (SOR) regulations. We use a clear coat that is a combination of soybean, sunflower, thistle oil, and carnauba and candelilla wax. It is safe to use on children's toys.

How should I clean the toys?
We recommend using a warm, damp cloth to wipe off debris or dust from the toys. Do not submerge the toys in water or use a disinfectant. Allow the toys to air dry at room temperature.
Why does my toy look slightly different then what is pictured?
One of the main reasons we decided to use Canadian Maple Hardwood is because of the beautiful grain patterns. We try to highlight the natural wood grain in our toys, not cover it up. As a result, each toy will have a different wood grain pattern and will not be 100% identical. These are not defects, rather each toy is unique!
The ears and tails are not mass produced, rather they are handmade from 100% cotton. While we strive to have consistency in this process, there will be slight variations in shape and length of ears and tails.

When will my order be shipped?
All of our toys are made to order, by the two of us, so please allow 5-10 days from order placement to shipment.
Can I return an item?
Yes. While we are confident you will love our handmade toys, we do accept returns. Please review our 30 day Return Policy to learn more.
What should I do if my order is incorrect?
While we strive to make sure we limit errors, we realize mistakes do happen and not all products may arrive perfect.
If there is:
- an item missing from your order
- received the incorrect item
- recieved a damaged item

About Toy Safety
Are the toys safe for my child?
The safety of our toys is our top priority.
Each style of toy has been sent to an independent testing facility to ensure they meet the required safety requirements. The shapes, the stains and clear coat used, and the ear/tail attachments have all undergone extensive testing to ensure the toys are safe for your child to use.

Why is the recommended age +3?
Although all our toys meet the required US and Canadian safety standards, each toy is made by hand and variability will exist. This creates a theoretical possibility that the ears or tails become detached, thus posing a potential choking hazard. Because of this possibility, our toys are not intended for children under the age of 3; and adult supervision is recommended.
